Parents & Guardians
Our youth groups aim to provide a safe, supportive environment where young people can build friendships, develop confidence, and feel a sense of belonging within their community. Nebula’s focus is on the emotional wellbeing of trans+ young people; we do not provide medical advice, and the only agenda we have is to foster a caring and secure space for our young people. All activities are age-appropriate and delivered with strong safeguarding practices in place. We recognise that many parents and carers may have questions or worries, and we aim to be open and transparent about what we do. Ultimately, our role is to help young people, who may already be facing significant challenges in their everyday lives, to feel less isolated and more supported as they navigate the world.
Nebula Trans+ Youth Foundation is a service designed primarily to support young people directly, and as such we do not usually provide ongoing support to parents or carers. However, we are very happy to engage with you where appropriate; whether to offer general advice, suggest other organisations that may be better placed to provide tailored family support, or assist with helping your child to access our groups
